Winter Melon Soup
![]() ![]() Again, with some effort done, I managed to accomplished this, Winter Melon Soup. Winter melons are a good source of vitamin C and potassium. Its high water content can help people like me, who always drink not enough water to keep hydrated. And, since it is relatively low in calories, it is most suitable for people who is on diet. -> Which is me, especially later KH treating us to dine at Kushin-bo. Heehee.. So, see below for the recipe. Half winter melon, remove seeds, keeping skin intact 1 carrot, cut into pieces 5-6 spare ribs, blanched About 1 litre of water Pinch of salt to taste Since winter melon taste is almost tasteless, I added the following for more enhanced taste. By choice: - 100g dried scallops Few pieces of dried lily bulb 10 pieces of red dates 200g yellow beans Method: - 1. Put the pot of water to boil. 2. Rinse the spare ribs at least 2 times with boiling water, follow by cold water. 3. Add in all ingredients then simmer for at least 1 hour but not more than 4 hours. Do not boil too long as the winter melon will be too soft. Yummy soup ready to serve. I just love soups. Labels: Soups, Winter Melon Soup
Memories - BBQ at Labrador Park
![]() Cannot remember when we taken this video and picture. Lucky that I ever blogged on this picture before. Browsing through, it was taken during March 2006 then. Back then, I remembered Pei asked us to go BBQ at Labrador Park. Once and only BBQ we had at Labrador Park together. The reason why is the once and only time is because there are too much mosquitoes and is too dark. West Coast Park became our regular spot for BBQ after that. Because the place is brighter and there is Macdonalds too. Most importantly, nearer to where all of us is staying, except for Pei. Heehee... Video uploaded taken by me. We were all into Army stuffs, because that time, the guys were going about to serve NS. In case you all may want to know who is the commander, is Pei.. Hahaha.. Miss those days man. How I wish we can turn back time~~~ These days I kept on having mixed feelings. I don't really know why. But I am aware is because of Willie. Although the incidents that happened before were unpleasant, but I think deep inside me, I really cherish our friendship, brother-sister hood. I always recall back days in school, after our 'O' levels, during poly days and when we just started working. Everything that occurred among us were so memorable because of the fun we once had. However, now I know we can still be like the past. I see that you are trying hard to heal the superficial wound. And, we are willing to erase off whatever that ever set the obstruction between us. Cheers to our friendship! Labels: BBQ, Labrador Park, memories

Reunited
The reunion started last Sunday. With my dearest brothers and sisters. He is back once again, but I wonder is temp or perm.
![]() My desktop at office.. Loved this picture the most.. Taken back in 2004.. Our first trip to Genting together.. Met him up 3 times this past week. First was bowling at Chervons on Sunday.. Second was Sakura dinner on Wednesday.. ![]() Haha.. See me in the picture? Third was bowling again on Friday.. Always it crossed my mind that after the reunion, it will be another long away for him. Maybe because this is not the first time. He always goes missing after a short meet up. And, last contactable is 1 year ago, not taking into account our wedding days he do appear. Years ago, his ambitious thinking created a barrier between me and him. Because of him, there is a small misunderstanding. And, he left us, leaving this unclear. I was angry that time because he totally ignored both his sisters' feelings. At that sudden, I felt he don't even bother about us. We did coincidentally saw each other at Jurong Point few times over the years. But, there is no hi and bye. Just a smile. We were like strangers then. Even meet ups, we were not as close as before. I ever wonder at times whether the 4 of us still remember where and when we decided to be sworn brothers and sisters.. I recalled back vividly.. back at West Coast Park.. Until then 2008 new year countdown, he came together for bowling. The session was fun. We had bowling, countdown and punishment. We threw each other into the swimming pool after the bowling games, wet ourselves and walked from Chervons to Jurong East Entertainment for supper. So fun.. haha.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() All these, engraved in my memory. Hope this time his appearance into my life again will be forever. I love you all..

CNY 2009
Been busy since eve of Chinese New Year. Went Genting and I lost 3K RM. Blame the Texas Holdem' and Casino Wars. Anyway, damn my bad luck.
Camwhored with family on 大年初一... See my chic Daddy, pretty Mummy, sweetie sisters.. and relatives, the cousins and grandpa.. heehee.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Looked so fat, feel so fat now. Married life made me gain weight. Shit man. When you feel stagnant at work, ask yourself, "What more you can give to your company?" Everyone always start pondering what they can achieve and gain from their companies, but do they ever wonder what have you given to your company. Management can give you lower than usual increment, but at least fair enough for lower salary employee, they got the same % as the higher salary ones. I overcame this and made me feel much better. I told myself that we have to see things at different perspective views. Sometimes, we do have to be flexible to remain happy. Labels: Be happy, Chinese New Year |
