Arrival of Baby Candice

Finally I got time to sit down and start typing my labour process and also the few days of me and Hus parenthood.. This free time given is all thanks to TMC parentcraft.. Stupid nurses giving us wrong information which caused me and hus into anxiety.. My baby got underfed because of not enough milk supply given and her juandice.... haiz....

Anyway... I went into induction of labour on 3-Nov... Inserted one pill to start contractions on 2nd Nov by Dr Khi around 2pm.. No contractions feeling till the drip is given on 3-Nov..

12pm - Admitted into hospital.. Got shaved and lie on bed of delivery ward to monitor contractions.. No pain and Hus accompanied me throughout... Checked by nurse that I only 2cm dilated..

1am - Given another pill to start contractions.. The midwife that insert the pill is an idiot.. never put jelly.. I pain like hell..

2am - Given a ward.. Super delux because they dont have single bedded.. Hus and I enjoyed the room.. And I got not much pain still..

9am - Went to Dr Khi's clinic for another contractions monitoring again..

10am - Sent down to delivery ward.. Given enezma to clear bowels.. Checked that I only 3cm dilated

1pm - Given drip to strengthen the contractions after water bag burst by Dr Khi.. The leaking of warm fluids made me feel like I am peeing non-stop..

3pm - Contractions coming like every 2 mins.. Super pain.. Like menses pain x100 times... Cannot take it... Nurse asked whether want pain relief.. I faster tell her I want epidural..

5pm - After the epidural.. Pain free but just feel like wanting to clear bowels... The pressure down there is strong... I called the nurse and she checked that I already 9cm dilated.. Woohoo.. I super happy.. Finally...

5 - 7 pm - Was pushed into birth ward for delivery.. I pushed like several reps but no use.. I feel cold due to the epidural side effects and hunger... No strength at all... I cannot take it anymore and asked to call gynae... Baby arrived by vaccum.. I started shivering the moment baby is out due to the epidural..and announce her arrival at 7.06pm..

What a relief that my labour is not that painful.. I only go through like pain when checking dilation and some contractions.. Still bearable.. stitches is totally pain free.. And I am glad I chose Dr Caroline Khi as my gynae.... bit expensive though.. haha...

I named my little princess in the labour ward when everyone was commenting that she looked so sweet.. Her name is Candice.....

Because I am on total breast feeding.. I started feeding Candice every 3 hours in the hospital... Pain on my nipples started coming in on the last hospital stay.. Candice suckling became stronger and vigorous.. I was at a loss.. wondering what happened... My nipples became sore.. Went to ask the parentcraft of TMC.. they told me because my milk not enough.. I broke down... Was so sad when they gave and told us to give 20ml of infant formula to supplement her... Now I think back.. is kinda of stupid.. They should tell me that the mature milk will only come in with adequate rest and calm feeling.. But.. they did not mention any about this..

Then we went back home and started taking care of my little princess.... Her jaundice became worse and mum asked Hus to carry her do sun tanning...





Anyway... Candice is in the hospital because of her juandice... Because of me and Hus.. She got level 20 for her juandice... She got no choice but to shower under photo light... See that her cot got nothing but a plastic base... So pitiful man... I hope she can come back to her warm and comfortable cot by tomorrow... Miss her so much......






Anyway.. at the relax side.. I finally started the massage.. The malay lady who massaged me is great... But super painful... Cos I got serious water retention... I am doing the massage everyday... and feeling so shiok aftermath... I hope to keep my relax feeling till Candice is back....

How I wish I can wash my hair.... very dirty.... hahaha... I shall end here and update again when Candice is back....
